Nicki Symes Wellbeing Hypnotherapist

DFSH (Diploma in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy), DipHB (KGH), RN (Registered Nurse), Former RM (Registered Midwife), BA (Hons) Public Health SCFN (health visiting), BA (Humanities), MSc Women’s Studies (Research)

Nicki brings decades of experience of working in the NHS in a variety of roles. She is a Solution Focused (SF) Hypnotherapist and offers a friendly, supportive empowering approach to clients of all ages to help them to make the changes that they wish to in their lives. This could include improving emotional wellbeing by helping to reduce stress, anxiety, symptoms of IBS, by improving mood and/or sleep. It may include addressing unwanted habits/behaviours, addressing specific fears/ phobias or helping them to cope with acute/chronic pain.

The first half of the SF session involves talking and the second part uses hypnosis or trance to support positive change. Clients usually find this an enjoyable and relaxing experience. Trance is a familiar state and can be experienced when daydreaming, driving somewhere familiar or being engaged in a very absorbing task.

Nicki is also a KGHypnobirthing teacher and runs antenatal birth preparation courses for individuals, couples or small groups, drawing on over 20 years of midwifery experience. It includes using self hypnosis, relaxation and other techniques to help to build confidence and prepare individuals/couples for the birth of their baby.
